HOW SOS SAFE VERIFICATION WORKS

A readiness credential you can actually check.

Most safety stamps are self-declared checkboxes. SOS Safe is different: certification is issued by Terra after your evidence is verified — and it lapses on a schedule if you don't keep it current.

The honest ladder

Registered (free)

A self-declared profile in the SOS Safe network with live Crisis Mode. This is a network status, not a verified credential — and we label it that way.

Certified Basic (paid, Terra-verified)

A conversational assessment conducted by Terra against your property's real facility profile. Instant and self-serve — issued only after the assessment is completed and scored server-side. Assessed, not audited.

Certified Premium / Elite (paid, evidence-verified)

Timestamped photo and document evidence for the claims that matter — AED and inspection tag, extinguishers, marked exits, posted emergency numbers — checked by Terra's vision model. Requires at least one logged Crisis-Mode drill and a threshold of active staff trained-and-current. Renewed annually.

How a claim is verified

  1. 1

You complete the assessment or upload evidence.

  2. 2

Terra checks it — the score is computed on our servers from your stored answers, never in your browser.

  3. 3

A verification code and badge are issued.

  4. 4

Your public /verify page shows the tier, issue date, expiry, and drill freshness.

  5. 5

If the credential lapses or is revoked, the badge and verify page say so — automatically.

What lapses, and when

Basic — 1 yearPremium — 1 yearElite — 2 years

A certification lapses only by time — expiry without renewal — or by revocation for misrepresentation. It is never revoked because a subscription payment failed: an earned credential is a fact, not a receipt.

Framework alignment

SOS Safe criteria are aligned with the readiness principles of ISO 21101 and the UNDRR/PATA Hotel Resilient standard. "Aligned with" means our criteria map to theirs — not that those bodies certify us. We will name formal recognitions here only once they exist.
